Tite Kubo Draws New ‘Bleach’ Characters For Upcoming Novel

Writer Tite Kubo isn’t quite finished with Bleach just yet, as Shueisha announced that he drawing the designs for two new characters! The two new characters are Hikone and his sensei Tokinada Tsunayashiro. Hikone is an androgynous child that is extremely skilled in combat.

Tokinada is the head of the Tsunayashiro family and he is planning something that involves the Soul King. The antagonistic duo appears in Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World, which is a novel written by Durarara!! creator Ryohgo Narita. The novel centers around Hisagi Shūhei, vice-captain of Squad 9, as he investigates a mystery surrounding Kaname Tōsen, who was the former captain of Squad 9. Weekly Shonen Jump began publishing Kubo’s Bleach in 2001 and it ended in 2016. The long-running series starred Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who can see spirits. Ichigo accidentally steals the powers of a Soul Reaper named Rukia Kuchiki while saving his family, which leads to him being pulled into the Soul Society. Studio Pierrot adapted in a 366 episode series that ran between 2004 and 2012.
